Job Summary

The Processing Administrator supports daily manufacturing operations by coordinating work order processing, maintaining production documentation, and assisting with scheduling and inventory control. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, compliance with internal procedures, and efficient workflow across plasma cutting, laser cutting, saw cutting, drilling, and forming operations. The position also supports material inventory monitoring, logistics coordination for incoming and outgoing processed materials, and preparation of complete documentation packages to facilitate smooth internal operations and customer satisfaction. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and cross-functional communication are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Create, review, and release work orders for material processing operations.
  • Organize and file production records and reports for traceability and ISO records.
  • Monitor raw steel inventory levels (plate, sheet, bar, structural).
  • Assist in weekly production scheduling for plasma cutting, laser cutting, saw cutting, drilling, and forming operations.
  • Coordinate documentation packages for all processed materials.
  • Coordinate with logistics for incoming and outgoing processed materials.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative work
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is an asset
  • Basic understanding of technical drawings is an asset
  • Must have great attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Able to meet tight deadlines in a repetitive, fast paced professional environment 
  • Flexible individual with the ability to prioritize a changing workload
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • A positive attitude and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Language: English (required)
