Macon Fabrication collaborated with a local engineering firm to fabricate custom aluminum electrical kiosks for two BC Ferries terminals. The project required purpose-built enclosures capable of protecting critical electrical systems in a harsh coastal environment.
Custom Aluminum Fabrication for Marine Conditions
Each kiosk was fabricated from corrosion-resistant aluminum to withstand exposure to salt air and marine weather conditions. The enclosures incorporated integrated access doors, ventilation components, service penetrations, and internal framing to support safe operation and long-term serviceability. All elements were produced to align precisely with engineered drawings and site requirements.
In-House Machining, Assembly, and Finishing
From fabrication and machining through assembly and finishing, the kiosks were completed entirely in-house at Macon Fabrication’s facility. Managing production under one roof allowed for direct coordination with the engineering team, controlled quality oversight, and consistent adherence to project specifications. Each enclosure was prepared for transport ready for installation at the terminal sites.
Durable Electrical Infrastructure for Coastal Operations
Designed for strength, corrosion resistance, and maintainability, the finished kiosks provide reliable protection for essential electrical components within an active marine infrastructure environment. The completed fabrication supports long-term operational performance in demanding coastal conditions.
